so many Hot Pockets, so little time
So, I’m posting this as my new blog for today, ’cause it’ll take me that long to finish it. And it’s one of my quote important unquote ones. Yeah, I usually say the “quote/unquote” thing in my head, but I don’t generally type it out.
By the way, Tigger just came into my room and starting pawing at the catnip bag in my floor. He is currently looking around my room as though he sees things and is suddenly paranoid as fuck.
So, about the title. Yes, I heart me some Hot Pockets, especially the pizza ones. Yeah, I heart my pepperoni.
Well, back to the whole title thing. You see, my grandmother bought a few of the sub ones the other day ’cause they were on sale and we’re a cheap family–really. So, I ate both of them in one setting, so she asked if I liked them. Well, dur.
Now, since I went and said that, our second refigerator (refered to in this house as an “icebox“) on the back porch is now packed with them. The freezer (the top half) is over-flowing with Hot Pockets and can barely hold any other microwavable items.
Sure, there is quite a deverse selection–there are pepporoni subs, meatball subs, ham + egg + cheese, four cheese, egg + bacon, egg + bacon + cheese, ham + egg + cheese + bacon, and a lot more than that.. I’m just going by what I read last time I checked and making up things along the way.
So, one might ask the question: “Why did she buy so many Hot Pockets?“
& the answer is a simple one. My grandmother believes that, for some reason, if someone in this household says they like some type of food, that she must buy as many of that item as she can put in the cart.
Yeah, this doesn’t seem to make sense, now does it?
I’ve explained to her, my mother has explained to her, everyone has explained to her that this is not the way it works. Because, as anyone that has eaten too much of one type of food knows all too well, people will get sick and tired of that item very quickly and it will go to waste.
I have so many boxes of Hot Pockets in the freezer that I know I cannot possibly eat, but I can beat you all money that she will buy more on Friday when she goes shopping.
