Murphy was a cynical old man, dare I say.
Murphy’s Law:
Whatever can happen will happen, and it will usually be the worst-case scenario.
AKA
“If there are two or more ways to do something, and one of those ways can result in a catastrophe, then someone will do it.“
Alright then. Simply put, everything that you can possibly ever think will occur in a day will occur on a bad day, because that’s what happens. Sure, that doesn’t necessarily make sense, but that’s not the point—the point is that the most horrible things are going to happen when one least expects it.
It’s a common worst-case scenario setup: Every possible thing will go wrong, more than likely one after another. Now, surely this cannot be true. But, tis a sad world and many a man can tell a story of how a bad day went from just a tad bit off to total misery.
Everyone has those days though; that one day of the year when nothing seems to go your way, right from the start.
You wake up on the wrong side of the bed,
you have a bad hair day from hell,
traffic jams make you late to work,
working overtime with annoying people,
getting into a fender-bender on your drive home,
burning your dinner,
there’s no hot water for your shower,
and you can’t get to sleep.
But, in the end, tomorrow has to be better.
Every person has those off days. It’s completely normal. There’s no way to make it better or make it go by faster; one just has to take it as it comes and deal. Sure, it’s going to suck right that moment, but after a while it might not seem quite so bad. One might even look back upon it later and laugh, but maybe not. Maybe one would learn and not get in a situation like that again, but that’s for the individual to decide, of course.
So, no matter how horrible, no matter how bad, no matter what happens—you know it’s going to get better eventually and that (though yesterday, today, or tomorrow may have been the worst day of your life) there will be a day that’s better, brighter, and happier than that. Look forward to that day, not back or now to this horrible one.
so, again I am too lazy to type HR into the HTML and make a damn horizontal line
I don’t really have a reason to why I wrote that (all of the above) besides I’m just in the blogging mood and/or in “one of those” moods. Who knows? I am female afterall. ;D
