EMPLOYMENT IS FLEETING
Yeah, so, uh-huh. Guess what? I’m currently unemployed, like I figured.
So, my left wrist hasn’t gotten any better. It still goes numb and hurts if I bend it and is generally being a pain in the ass. I went to the company doctor in Evansville on Thursday. I already figured they’d tell me it was something that was already there and that it wasn’t a work-related injury and then fire my ass for being in pain. Yeah, yeah.
The nurse was nice enough. She was one of those old lady nurses that you just have to get along with, you know? Anyway, the doctor came in, this horrably lanky mother-fucker, and proceeded to move my wrist around. It didn’t hurt at first, but after he stared rotating it in circles I just about cried. It wouldn’t stop burning after he did that. It sucked.
Well, of course, he flat-out told me that I hadn’t been working long enough for it to be from work and, since it hadn’t gotten any better after being off work that long, that it had to have been something that was already wrong aka I fucking did it. Yeah, I’ve been doing nothing with this wrist because it hurts, so, sure, it’s totally something I did. Bastards.
I couldn’t get ahold of Kim, the lady I needed to talk to, so I turned in the paperwork at the office, went home and ate, then went out to TISA. Jenni proceeded to tell me that, yeah, I shouldn’t be working assembly if I have something wrong with my wrist, so they would put me on their waiting list for another job doing something else.
So, yes, I am currently looking for another job. My wrist works fine, as long as I don’t have to do stupid shit with it–like hit seats or bend it over and over and over again getting parts for the blasted seats. It hurts now, it hurts every morning I get up, and generally is still being a bitch. I never had a problem with my left wrist until I worked out there for a few days and the pain has not gone away, no matter what I do or don’t do.
