Changing Themes.
(Well, let’s try this again since Firefox crashed.)
I’ve been changing the theme today and managed to upload to the newest version, which has a lot more things than the last one. (I like theme because it reminds me a lot of Tumblr.) It has been rather hard to do since I’m having a lot of trouble with my host (again).
It wouldn’t be so bad, but they aren’t responding to support tickets except with a very, very token copy-and-paste “here’s the probelm and this is what we’re doing about it” statement. I’m so tired of those that it just pisses me off. If they would even bother reading my tickets–I sent three in three hours about different things, but I got the same response every damn time–they would understand that I understand what’s going on, instead of just assuming I’m one of many hostees that are sending in tickets because they want to know what is going on.
I’ve been really good so far with this host and didn’t lose my cool with them until today. Sure, they’ve made me mad because this sort of thing happens all the frickin’ time, but I understand that things happen and you have to allow so much time to fix what’s gone wrong.
Let me explain a little bit: They have to move stuff because something broke. Something breaks all of the time. They do admit to the problems, ususally, and have a site set up for them: Dream Host Status. They usually have some kind of issue about once a month. A lot of times, everyone is effected, even the ones that they say won’t be affected. This time, since they are moving things, this is making everything slow to the point of timing out and dying. So, everything go boom.
Currently, I am seriously wondering what they are going to do to the people that have gotten screwed once again. A couple of months ago, they had their 7 Million Dollar Plus billing issue and I ended up with two free months for being a good sport. My question is: What did other people get for their trouble?
This site is works best when viewed with Firefox.
