Earthquakes? Yes.
Yeah, like, more than one. Currently, there are seven up, having all happened since 4:30am this morning. The last one that was pretty big, and looong, was at 10:15am central. This one was a 4.6, lasted about 30 seconds, and was in a completely different area, even closer to our house. Shiver.
Here are all of the earthquakes from today in the area, and at posting time it was only 7. It will go up. Recent quakes in area.
Though it is a 5.2, downgraded from a 5.4, where I am at was in the 6 range. (Here the area of 6 is shown as orange.) The other quakes today have been the 4.6 and several 3’s and lower.
I have felt and heard around twenty aftershocks so far, with the area being rather rolling and rumbly before and during them. You can honestly hear them coming and it sounds like you are standing next to a train. Everytime I hear the train in the distance or a braking semi, I flinch.
We did have some stuff fall off in our house, as I stated in the last post from this morning, but what I had not noticed was that our 5 foot tall woodburning stove slid forward and actually disconnected itself from the stovepipe. The chimmey is fine, but it’s still rather creepy.
I think if I go to sleep again, there is going to be another earthquake. As soon as I got to sleep this morning, 5.2. When I finally got back to sleep this afternoon, a 4.6. That’s just not fair. Currently, I think I’ve gotten to sleep a total of around 4 hours. I’m not sleepy though. The rumbling of aftershocks keep me awake.

Gah, there was another one as I went to view your comment. That one was freakin’ closer to my house than the last one. Gah, it’s just not cool.
Glad to hear that you are alive, by the way. If I hadn’t noticed you online earlier, I might have thought that you died.
I have my car back, finally, too. I just got it back about a week ago. XP That was only in the shop since before the last time we went out.

Glad you’re ok. Damn earthquake woke me up at the same times as you. Knocked a little dragon guy I had on my wall onto the floor and busted his head/arms off, otherwise nothing much happened.
