Changing the Landscape..
Well, as I promised in my post We’ve Been Working Outside in this Heat, I have gotten a couple of pictures of what we worked on this past week and weekend.

This is the little area in front of my grandfather’s old trailer. (That’s what is left of the foundation in the background.)

Now, this is the side of the pond that you see when you walk up to it from the driveway.

This is the front part, which is facing off to the west and the side yard.

I don’t know if I explained this a week ago, I doubt it, but our little hammock died. It was rather old and it didn’t survive the winter. I still attempted to sit in it though, and ended up going through it. Thankfully it was only a couple of inches off the ground and I bounced!
Anyway, I left it fastened to the tree and put some creeping flox and a plastic chicken in it. Don’t ask why there was a plastic chicken in the yard, as no one knows. Anyway, I figured if I was going to do a little redneck thing, I would do this.
Also, it has Xmas lights weaved in the hammock. Yeah. Currently, they are just blue, but I figured my grandmother might like it if I put in red and white as well, for the 4th of July.
P.S. - If you want to know what type of trees are the big bright green ones blooming in the background, they are Northern Catalpa trees. (We have a ton of them!)

Looks like a big project is going on in your yard
I’m sure the ending outcome would be beautiful!
