Don’t you just love power lines?

I don’t! They just constantly get in the way of taking pictures!

Well, try to see it from a nice point of view … they look so geometrical here that the photo is great

Yes, but you found a beautiful sky behind a beautiful tree anyway.

They may get in the way of an unsullied sky shot, but in this photo, the lines make a most interesting and attractive linear/geometric display against the more rounded softness of the sky.

We have major power lines that go over the entire property, along with all of them in the front of the yard that follow the highway. It’s rather annoying, because you can hear them all the time. -,-*
I actually can’t sleep without them anymore.. All I hear is this ringing in my ears instead of silence. It’s sometimes considered a medical condition, as it can apparently drive people crazy!

Power lines can ruin the most wonderful scenery, but somehow you have managed to incorporate them in an artistic way. Very pretty.

Yes, I agree. I have so many pictures with the power lines in the way.
But I do love the power that those lines provide.

Oh, the power lines over our property don’t even run to us.! We don’t use those lines, because our power comes from a different plant.

That’s a great shot though. The photo is actually somewhat relaxing with all the geometry of the crossing lines. Very nice.

I wish it was just a lamp post! Our “dusk to dawn” light is all we have for light in the nighttime, besides the moon of course.! It’s in the middle of the yard, which means there is yet another line going across the property!

As a musician power lines like those often remind me of sheet music and I begin to imagine large music notes set upon them from some song I have played… ![]()

I understand completely about power pole and power lines. Sometimes I think I have a wonderful picture just to discover either a pole or lines. My SkyWatch pic this week has power line but I just couldn’t crop them out. Your picture if great power pole and all. Have a great weekend.

Wow. You are out in the farm country. Where there are deer and rabbits and all sorts of wildlife.
I am now taking a 10 day dose of steroids for my Rheumatoid Arthritis pain and it works. I am free of pain. For now and am taking a chance to see if I can visit the Sky Watch Bloggers and see what’s up this week.
I am not participating in Sky Watch Friday just because I might not be able to make it around to all if the pain flairs up again and that would not be right for me.
I don’t know if you like to read or not but if you do this place is amazing. Strand’s bookstore in New York City. They have 18 miles of used books. Think about that—18 miles. I ordered three used books, got them and they are in excellent condition.
I enjoyed seeing your blog post for Sky Watch Friday and I thought your photography was excellent.
