Some More.. On the Ohio River.
(Sorry about the old post, but I thought everyone might enjoy the sky over the river, the river reflecting it back, and the sky breaking through the tree leaves with the little bird. I didn’t get online last week and this was all I could dig up for this week.. I’ve been rather busy because I’m due any day now!)

Well, today I picked one of the photos from Cave-In-Rock. Though I didn’t bother to go down into the cave and take pictures, I did take several photographs of the surrounding area—which is beautiful by the way.
Since the cave is literally on the edge of the river, when you stand on top of the cliffs the views are stunning especially at sunset.
If anyone can remember March of this year, then you may recall the pictures of the flooded river. You can look back on them here: How High Can It Go?

Also, we did get out and pick a bunch of blackberries again yesterday. My right hand got scratched up pretty good because of the thorns, but at least it doesn’t hurt anymore and I got most of the thorns out. (Plus, I scrubbed the purple/red off my fingers so they don’t look like they’re covered in blood anymore!)
When we were out there, I kept hearing a bird in the tree above us. I figured it was just one of the mockingbirds being annoying, as they don’t much like anyone. Come to find, I was right next to a little fledgling!
It’s rather cute and, though it’s parents were taking care of it and getting it to fly, I couldn’t leave it out there on the ground with all the cats. So, there’s a little northern mockingbird in the house sleeping. I have to go feed it in a bit. (It really likes blackberries. Go figure.)
I’ve almost got the little one to fly on it’s own. Hopefully it will be good enough to get out on it’s own very soon, without fear of all the kitties. (Tigger will walk over and look at it, but he just ignores it. The bird is smart enough to stop moving when he sees the cat though!)
Update: We released it back outside this morning, after a good helping of blackberries and some flight lessons. Here’s a picture of it in the tree out back.

(See? I’ve already gone and broken my one picture a day rule for the week!)
Now don’t forget tomorrow is Tails Tuesday. I hope to see some of you then!
