Roadside Photo.

Hence why it’s a bit blurry.. But I personally like the effect on this image.

It’s just a picture of a little white church on the side of Route 1 in Illinios. I wasn’t much aiming for anything but the church itself, because I was more concerned with not dropping my camera since I had it sticking out of the car.!

This photo was taken with many others in my collection from a month back. Why don’t you drop by and look through them too?

Here are a couple of other entries: I Think I Like Rocks, Some More.. On the Ohio River, There Are More Photos.. I Promise!, Beautiful Tree at Cave-In-Rock, How Do You Like the Sunset?, Some More.. Big Rocks.

I should make some postcards! I haven’t updated my shop lately because when I take the time to upload my images, they never seem to get finished loading before my internet drops the connection.

Thanks!

I came up with the domain when I ran out of things that had already been taken over a year ago. Finally, I just looked down at my fingernails and realized I had broken one while typing.

Shots from moving vehicles aren’t always the easiest to get. Good job!

Good job on shooting from out the window. I wonder how crowded the church gets on Sundays. It looks like such a peaceful road.

The road is usually pretty peaceful, give or take the amount of semi traffic it has at all hours.

I can put SWF in the tags, but since I don’t have it showing any tags for my posts..

My favorite shots are those taken while on the road or on the move. And you captured that old church too.

I was like that, too! Sometimes when I see something nice, even if I stick out my camera, as long as I get the shot!

I don’t have time to look much right now, but sure want to come back to this. I can’t help but wonder where you are located…I am in Indiana not far across the state line–east of Paris. So I am familiar with Route 1.

Oh, I like this photo, got so sidetracked when I saw where you took it that I had to say something about that.

I haven’t traveled route one very far, just know it is there.

Comment from Lady on August 8, 2008 at 11:15 am.

Cool, I love the area up where you live. (I have a ton of photos from Paris, but only one I’ve posted: Have You Seen Paris?)

I live just across the river from Route 1, in Indiana too. One of my favorite things to do–when I have the money for gas!–is go out driving on Route 1. It’s generally so peaceful down here and the farther south you travel, the more amazing rock formations you can find!

Just answering your questions.
1. Well one easy way to mark your Post a SWF - is to title it with Skywatch Friday - or, as you did now, make it obvious, that it is a post for that meme. Pretty easy.
2. I couldn’t find what your were seeing next to the copyright. Neither in IE, FF, Opera or Safari is the word questions visible next to the copyright.
3. We’re not continually policing links and comments, we comment, if something’s not clear and only remove links in general, when either no SWF content is present, or double posts occur.
Hope that answers your questions!
Cheers, Klaus

As for #2, I think I figured out what I was seeing.

It shows the name of the page at the bottom of the page, right after the copywrites. It is only showing up on the netiquette and questions, but I haven’t checked the individual posts to see if it shows up there too.

Here’s an example on the bottom of a page: http://brokenfingernail.com/images/swf-ex.png

I am ALWAYS taking photos out the car windows! If you use your camera phone to take a photo, does that constitute violation of hands free laws? “But Officer, I wasn’t talking, I was taking a picture!”

LOL

I know!

I have a hard time if I’ve got my camera not to just drive around wasting gas and taking photos.

A lot of times I’ve left my husband someplace and wondered off into the country, just to take a picture of something I saw in the distance..

I’m sad that my phone is full of photos though. My internet is broke on it too, so I can’t transfer them over.
