Pretty. If you hadn’t mentioned the power lines, I wouldn’t have noticed them.

So many textures on that bush. Really pretty. Happy WW: http://tinyurl.com/6g6nb8

I assume this is your Wordless Wednesday post, though I see nothing saying it is. I really like the photo. A butterfly bush would be so cool to have. I would not have noticed the power lines if you hadn’t told us they were there.

Sorry, I don’t feel the need to put every post for WW with WORDLESS WEDNESDAY!!! in front of the title. (Especially since I tend to submit the same post for SkyWatch.)

Also, I had a strange one happen with your IP and email address when I looked through my spam.. Three minutes after this comment, I recieved this:
Reba | [Email excluded] | rebasrun.blogspot.com | IP: [Excluded]
Bark! Butterfly bush, Dogwood tree, Pussy Willows… wow, this dog likes that! Arf, arf. Pretty pikture!
Reba @ Reba’s Run

Though I took out the email address and the IP, they’re the same as your comment. Why’s that?

Always wanted one — I wonder if they attract butterflies or hummingbirds?

They attract both butterflies and hummingbirds. Regular sparrows and swallows enjoy sitting on them as well, since they draw in lots of different insects.

Comment from Ryanne on August 13, 2008 at 3:26 am.

That is a pretty tree. no need to worry about the power lines, I usually just look past them, they are often unavoidable. great shot!

Comment from Mojo on August 13, 2008 at 6:17 am.

Beautiful photo! It’s the kind of image I would enlarge and frame for my living room.

Great pic.

How is it confusing?

My Mr. Linky section is in a completely different post! (I figure the huge titles of each post would be noticable enough.!)

More than just butterflies show up for this sweet-smelling bush. Hummingbirds love it too!

Also, I’ve found this is the only flower in the yard that attracts hummingbird bees, which is a beautiful type of moth that looks like a tiny hummingbird with bee patterns.

Comment from Randall on August 13, 2008 at 2:22 pm.

I’ve never seen a butterfly bush before. The purple flowers are beautiful.

Butterfly bushes are very nice to have and they come in so many different colors.!

While ours is the dark purple, I prefer the lilac colored one. They also come in pink and I’ve heard of them in white and yellow too, though I’ve never seen them myself.

Apparently, they come in the same varity of colors as lilac bushes.

This is a nice photo of the Butterfly Bush. I have too many of them. They grow like weeds here and each year there are more of them. Mine are in different colors from dark purple to light pink.

Nice photography.
